The founders, William J. Sacco, Ph.D., and Wayne S. Copes, Ph.D., have been in the forefront
of injury scoring research for nearly two decades and are co-developers of many of the
widely-used injury severity scores and trauma outcome evaluation methods advocated by the American College of
Surgeons, including: Trauma Score (TS), Revised Trauma Score (RTS), Trauma and Injury Severity Score (TRISS), A Severity Characterization of Trauma (ASCOT), PRE, DEF, and PARTITION.
